ANSI AI10.47

New ANSI AI10.47 Standard “Work Zone Safety for Highway Construction”
This was first purposed in 2006 and is intended to fill the gap; there are very few OSHA or ANSI standards that address road or highway construction. This A10.47 ANSI standard is one of few that cover vertically in one industry.

The 15 sections in this standard:

Scope
For all workers doing construction or repair work on any area of highway
Purpose
Prevent worker injuries and Illnesses
To establish safe work Practices and
To prevent vehicular crashes
Definitions:
Traffic Control
Flagger Safety
Run over /Back over Prevention
Equipment operator safety
Excavation Safety
Electrical Safety
Power Tools
Fall Prevention
Reduction of musculoskeletal Problems
Protection from Health Hazards
Illumination for night work
